This paper is performing an assessment of the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) belonging to the Tire Information (Pressure) System Receiver (RKE type - Remote Keyless Entry module), mounted on modern passenger cars. We propose a new layout of this receiver and we perform some simulations concerning the PCB dielectric material, as well as the dimensions and the placement of conductor microstrip paths on the PCB. The assessment consists in evaluating the complex impedance and all related diagrams. The newly designed RKE receiver could be also used for other data reception in order to increase car safety, (reducing the risks of using tires having incorrect pressure or preventing car theft/damage or unwanted intrusions or data stolen). |
