We demonstrate an autoencoder scheme that utilizes readily available adaptive filter coefficients to accurately detect and identify soft-failures in optical links with u003e99% accuracy. Detected impairments include low OSNR, nonlinearity, ROADM filtering and adjacent-channel crosstalk. |
