Title
On Dually-Polarized MIMO based NOMA: System Model and Polarization Resource Allocation
Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the system model, optimal precoding and the associated sum rate performance for dually-polarized MIMO (DP-MIMO) based non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) cell network. By using the joint design of precoding matrix and the receiving combination vector, the inter-cluster interference can be completely eliminated. To maximize the system sum capacity, we formulate an optimization problem in terms of optimal polarization resource allocation. To address this obtained non-convex problem, we propose a low-complexity scheme based on heuristic algorithms. Simulations are conducted to validate our design and analysis, showing that DP-MIMO-NOMA is an effective scheme to achieve higher data rate comparing with traditional uni-polarization MIMO-NOMA.
