Simulators are essential training instruments in various technical domains and these instruments must be used in the teaching process to consolidate theoretical knowledge. In control theory, many systems must be simulated beforehand in different scenarios, under variable circumstances. In this context, this paper presents a simulation environment for students for a 3-Tank Control System. The proposed solution is built as a flexible software and hardware architecture, with remote capabilities developed under the server-client principle. The mentioned system is simulated based on the mathematical model and the results are validated with MATLAB/Simulink. Based on the model, a control algorithm is designed and several observations are underlined, considering the fact that the simulator is developed for educational purposes. |
