Abstract
•Conventional spline fitting (SFM) uses cubic B-spline and 2nd derivative penalty.•Our SFM (geo-SFM) provides optimized curvature-torsion (C-T) graph along arteries.•geo-SFM was applied to both stent graft in AAA and cerebral arteries with aneurysms.•Temporal changes of bending positions along stent graft were observed in C-T graph.•Torsion graph by geo-SFM enabled us to observe helical directions clearly.
