Abstract
•A general iterative method of SSL estimation for stochastic degradation processes is first proposed.•Analytical expressions of SSL’s PDF based on Wiener-process-based model are obtained.•The unit-to-unit variability is described by a Gaussian Mixture Model.•Some analytical results of SSL’s mean and variance are provided under a nonstorage-failure assumption.
