Title
A Multicycle Sub-Nyquist Sampling System for Pulse Streams with Doppler Shift
Abstract
•A multicycle sub-Nyquist sampling system is proposed.•Based on thesymmetric structure of the Fourier coefficients, the delay and Doppler parameters of the echoes can be estimated symmetrically using the subspace method.•In addition, the parse common support (SCS) model can be used to estimate the delay-Doppler parameters by jointly using the samples from each pulse repeat interval (PRI), which greatly improves the anti-noise performance and estimation accuracy of the proposed algorithm.•By analyzing the rank of the autocorrelation matrix R, the minimum number of Fourier coefficients required by the proposed method to estimate the parameters are strictly proved.•By jointly using the samples from each PRI, both the minimum number of PRIs and the number of Fourier coefficients from each PRI can be reduced.•By increasing the number of sampled Fourier coefficients, the case that some echoes have the identical parameters is solved.•The case is also proved mathematically, and the minimum number of Fourier coefficients required is given.
