Abstract
•A novel dictionary learning method was proposed for process monitoring.•The geometry information was fused into the penalty term of sparse coding.•The discriminative sparse coding was conducive to mode identification.•The effectiveness of the method was illustrated by extensive experiments.•The proposed method was also effective for fault isolation in industrial system.
