Title
Dedicated Protection Considering Physical Layer Impairments In Elastic Optical Networks
Abstract
In this paper three algorithms are proposed that use the dedicated path protection strategy for survivable elastic optical networks. In addition to guarantee its availability upon the occurrence of a failure, proposed algorithms also seek to ensure the quality of the optical signal, which is degraded due to the physical layer effects. A performance evaluation was performed with dynamic traffic and requisitions with variable band demands. Simulation results show that taking into account physical layer effects in the choices of the routes of work and backup presented superior performance to other proposals of the literature.
