Relay Selection Based On Trajectory Prediction For Uav Networks
Abstract
In the scenario where Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAVs) are served as mobile base-stations to provide coverage communication for ground users, the deployment of UAVs base stations has always been a key challenge. Due to the limited power of UAV, when deploying UAV, it is necessary to consider to cover as many ground users as possible with limited transmission power and the shortest time while meeting the requirements of ground users' Quality of Service(QoS). In this paper, the deployment of UAV base station is modeled as a three-dimensional(3D) problem. For ease of calculation, the UAV position is decoupled into two directions: height and horizontal. Firstly, according to the channel fading model, the optimal coverage height of UAV is determined. Then, based on the implicit function relation between UAV flying height and communication coverage radius, the coverage radius of UAV is solved. Finally, an optimized particle swarm optimization algorithm which is called Multi-particle swarms optimization(MPSO) algorithm is proposed to locate the optimal position of UAV. The simulation results show that the algorithm used to solve the UAV coverage problem not only maximizes the user coverage, but also greatly reduces the complexity and calculation time of the algorithm.
