A bi-atrial statistical shape model for large-scale in silico studies of human atria: Model development and application to ECG simulations |
Abstract | ||
---|---|---|
•A bi-atrial statistical shape model and 100 random volumetric geometries derived from it are openly available.•A workflow for generating volumetric instances based on a variation shape of the endocardial wall is proposed.•The leading eigenmodes of the proposed bi-atrial shape model represent a change in the total atrial volume and the asymmetry of the left vs. the right atrial volume.•Electrophysiological simulations conducted on 100 atrial models produce P waves of durations in accordance with large clinical cohort studies. |
