Title
Designing the Industrial and Environmental Monitoring System based on the Internet of Things Architecture
Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) architecture is developing rapidly to provide new services and applications for different aspects of our life. In particular, IoT enables flexible and scalable implementation of various monitoring systems for environment and industry. In this paper, we describe in details how to design the monitoring system based on the latest trends in IoT in terms of connectivity. The performance of CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol) and MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport) protocols over Narrowband-loT (NB-IoT) network has been studied in details to prove their suitability for IoT monitoring application. In addition, a new algorithm for data clustering has been proposed to improve the flexibility of data processing and visualization to enable deployment of monitoring solutions in industrial and environmental scale.
