Abstract | ||

We experimentally demonstrate a 1-Gbit/s free-space optical data communication link using a pin-like beam. The results show that the pin-like beam has similar to 8dB less power loss induced by the limited-size receiver aperture at various distances compared with a Gaussian beam. |
