•A patch-based polynomial method is proposed to remove orbit errors of InSAR/MTInSAR.•Consideration of the time-varying orbit errors in the azimuth direction.•An improvement of mean velocity accuracy is 1.3 mm/yr.•The spatial correlation of residual topography is reduced by the proposed method. |
