Title
Improving non-invasive hemoglobin measurement accuracy using nonparametric models
Abstract
•Patient hemoglobin concentration is able to be monitored continuously by using a non-invasive measuring device.•Nonparametric statistical methods are used to improve its accuracy by considering measurement bias and individual trends.•The accuracy of non-invasive measurement is improved significantly with proposed methods and evaluated by cross-validation.•Furthermore, the impacts of patient demographics and initial medical condition are discussed.•The non-invasive hemoglobin measurement with improved accuracy is promising to support clinical practice & decision-making.
