Explainable AI decision model for ECG data of cardiac disorders
Abstract
•Proposed generalized DL model, namely, ST-CNN-GAP-5 for cardiac disease diagnosis.•Tested model on two large publicly available ECG datasets- PTB-XL and Arrhythmia.•Model outperformed the existing state-of-the-art methods on PTB-XL dataset.•Interpretability of the model tested using SHAP analysis.•Model highlights relevant alterations of the ECG waves as required by clinicians.•Developed model can support the clinicians in heart disease diagnosis.
