Does using comics still relevant and can enhance students’ skills to survive in revolution 4.0?
Abstract
ABSTRACTComics became an alternative learning media because it's close to children and liked by children The study was conducted to find out the relevance of comics in developing the skills needed in era revolution 4.0. The study used the Arksey and O'Malley scoping review framework. Ten relevant articles were eligible using criteria inclusion and exclusion of research types, updated research time, student samples, and the focus of the study is in education. The results showed that 9 out of 10 articles illustrate the benefits of relevant comics in improving the skills needed in era revolution 4.0 such as high-order thinking skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills. Therefore, the development of comics as learning tools nowadays, particularly in e-learning by considering the characteristics of learners is needed.
