Title
Coordinated precoding for Multi-Satellite Communications: A Deterministic Equivalent Approach
Abstract
Coordinated multi-point transmission has been shown effective to improve the performance of multi-cell multiuser communications. However, it requires instantaneous channel knowledge of all cooperative transmitters to optimize the signal precoding while suppressing the inter-cell interference. This is difficult to achieve when the backhaul is limited, where the local instantaneous channels cannot be entirely and timely exchanged. One of the typical such systems is the Satellite Communication (SatCom) network, where the inter-satellite links are both capacity and delay constrained. In this paper, we leverage the deterministic equivalence machinery for the large dimensional SatCom to design the asymptotic optimal precoding vectors, which only requires the statistical Channel State Informations (CSIs). Thus, it is easier and more practical for the implementation perspective. Finally, the effectiveness and the performance gains of the proposed optimization algorithm are verified via the simulation results.
