•This work put forward a waveform design approach to enhance the LPI performance for radar systems by considering the intercept processing of electronic reconnaissance (ER) systems.•An LPI waveform design problem against the typical cyclostationary analysis (CSA) widely performed by the ER systems is studied and further formulated as an optimization problem.•A structural sequential greedy optimization (S-SGO) algorithm is proposed to solve the formulated non-convex problem. |
