Flux-aligned mesh generation plays an important role in the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulation of Tokamak plasmas. In this paper, we present the existence theory of flux-aligned meshes by generalized Morse theory to the situation in Tokamak simulation. A high-order algorithm is developed to validate the theory by generating flux-aligned quad meshes with the same topologies as the typical flux contours in JOREK for Tokamak configuration MAST. |
