This paper is dedicated to the transformation of the university campus into an open-lab by introducing renewable energy management and autonomous robots circulating on the campus among public. The AGV (autonomous ground vehicle) and its technical characteristics are detailed, particularly the sensors. By evaluating in such an open environment, the robot is able to record navigation data (GPS positions, speed and torque), energy data (consumption, reload cycles, etc.) as well as other information such as facial expressions and reactions of the students facing the robot in movement. This allows the creation of public dataset which can be used for all the researchers of the University as well as from other universities or industrial partners. Therefore, all the details regarding the robot as well as its trajectories and missions are detailed for future collaborations. |
