Title
Proposal of a multi-core processor architecture for effective evolutionary computation
Abstract
This paper describes proposing multi-core processor architectures from the viewpoint of evolutionary computation. We focus on local memory built into a multi-core processor and propose a specification that allows the contents of local memory in any core to be directly accessed by any other core without using main memory. We describe an evaluation on an actual multi-core processor and show that the speed-up effect and reducing energy consumption should be expected with the proposed specification.
