This paper describes the implementation of aCPU which can operate successfully in hostileenvironments such as an orbiting space vehicle. The design goal is to reduce sensitivity to theeffects of radiation which can cause malfunctions inelectronic circuit or a complete failure of thesystem. Moreover, to test performance and collect data, special hardware structures are integrated onsilicon to collect data on detected errors. |
