In order to set up accurate fault models in MOS circuits, a tool has been developed to introduce faults at the circuit level. This program is a preprocessor to the program SPICE. The faults are described interactively by means of a SPICE-like description language. The program processes the SPICE description file of the true circuit and generates the SPICE input file of the faulty circuit. The topology of the circuit is modified. The program processes hierarchicaly described circuits (subcircuits) and takes into account the following faults: • - floating gates • - open circuits and partially open circuits • - short circuits and partially short circuits |
