We report preliminary results of magnetic field measurements obtained using commercial Magneto-Resistive elements. This technical choice among different types of sensors (SQUID, Fluxgate, GMI) is discussed. The magneto-resistive devices operate at room temperature and, therefore, can be located very close to the surface of packages. Though the present results are far away from micronic localisation of defective currents, the sensitivity of Magnetoresistance systems makes them a possible alternative to Squid ones.
