Title
Simulation of integrated optic devices based on BPM.
Abstract
The present work shows how to simulate the propagation of optical fields in integrated optics devices, using the Beam Propagation Method, presenting also some results. Finite difference discretization was Performed through a Crank-Nicholson algorithm on isotropic media and the software was developed within the Matlab((R)) environment. Structures like ridge waveguide, Y-junctions and parallel waveguides, are simulated and the results are validated through comparison with previously published ones.
