Title
The Modularization of VRML Language in 3D Dynamic On-Line Geospatial Courses
Abstract
Modularization is a very important mechanism in programming languages. Virtual Reality Modeling Language [VRML] is a language that describes interactive, dynamic 3D objects and environments. The use of modularization techniques in VRML is very powerful and helpful for developing programs. After describing the advantages of this combination, a program from 3D Dynamic On-line learning Environment in Geospatial Sciences is used to illustrate the main aspects of this mechanism. Building a reusable library of VRML modules is the one of our goals. This library can then be used in our Geospatial Sciences On-line course delivery system.
