Title
Design and implementation of sensor nodes for a Wireless Body Area Network
Abstract
This paper presents the design and implementation of a wireless sensor node for the Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN). The node is used for monitoring the pulse and the blood oxygen information. It is composed by a sensor module, a microprocessor control unit (MCU) module, a wireless communication module and a power system. We describe the hardware architecture and the software procedure supporting the whole system. We also show characters of high integration, miniaturization and low power consumption which lay foundation for further improvement and application in WBAN.
