Abstract | ||

Due to large dynamic range requirement of signal in UWB receiver, this paper presents a novel double closed-loop automatic gain control (AGC) algorithm. Compared with the conventional AGC algorithm, the proposed algorithm has a large adjustable range and fast convergence. The first AGC loop before synchronization module is used for coarse tuning; the second AGC loop after synchronization module calculating the symbol power in preamble to approximate the reference power, it is used for fine tuning. The simulations based on the DC-OFDM UWB receiver and Gaussian channel showed that the proposed AGC algorithm could effectively improve the adjustable range of VGA gain, further more it could improve convergence speed. |
