Title
Enhancing laboratory experience and assessment through monitoring and processing of students' activities
Abstract
We have developed a system able to enhance our understanding of the students' performance during engineering laboratory exercise. This enhanced understanding is based on detailed monitoring of the students' activities, resulting in an enriched set of findings, in comparison with the final results of the exercises which are typically available. These findings are then cognitively interpreted in order to compose the student's profile, and provide focused feedback both to the student and the tutor. We have applied our system in the field of engineering education and specifically the impactful and state of the art field of video quality evaluation.
