Title
Application of μ-synthesis based H∞-control for adaptive optics in laser material processing
Abstract
An adaptive optics system is used for the controlled attenuation of tip-tilt disturbances in an experimental laser material processing setup. It is shown that a H∞-controller based on the μ-synthesis approach successfully accounts for the model uncertainties that, in the main, are unknown delays originating from the wavefront reconstruction and data transmission. The μ-synthesis problem is solved referring to a recently introduced non-smooth μ-optimization algorithm. Experimental results underscore the superiority of the presented approach in comparison to former results.
