Computer-aided diagnosis (CADx) systems are used in several medical image analysis applications for assisting clinicians in the interpretation of medical images as well as the characterization of several pathologies including tumor. MRI provides tissue related measurements that combined with signal post-processing techniques are able to quantify the underlying physiological processes. Herein, a software application for the analysis of DCE-MRI data is presented combined with powerful visualization techniques. Model-based techniques have been implemented in order to describe the pharmacokinetic (PK) properties of Gd-based contrast agents and provide quantitative results to the end user under an interactive GUI. |
