Title
Advanced amplification techniques for nanoscale CMOS in the context of IoT node sensors
Abstract
The downscaling of the CMOS technology and the demand for low power impose new challenges on the design of mixed-mode integrated circuits, such as analog to digital converters. Consequently, the amplifier, which is one of the building blocks, has been the subject of extensive development. This paper presents recent advances in low-power technique options for the design of amplifiers within the context of sensor nodes for the Internet-of-Things (IoT). Some of the most promising energy-efficient amplification techniques, either in continuous-time and discrete-time domains, are reviewed.
