Title
On the utility of 3D Hand Cursors to Explore Medical Volume Datasets with a Touchless Interface.
Abstract
•An easy to learn touchless interface is proposed to manipulate 3D medical data.•User’s hands act as interactive 3D cursors and not as 2D pointers.•3D hand cursors provide a more natural volume rotation.•A single trial is required to achieve the desired rotation using the proposed touchless interface.•Senior surgeons recognize the applicability in sterile environments.
