Title
On The Achievability Of Interference Alignment For Full-Duplex Cellular Networks With Multiple Antennas
Abstract
We develop an interference alignment technique, called cyclic IA, for full-duplex (FD) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) cellular networks in which a base station (BS) that operates in FD mode supports a set of half-duplex (HD) uplink and downlink users simultaneously. The key idea behind our approach is to construct a set of loop-equations enabling interference alignment, so that beamforming vectors are sequentially determined by solving an eigenvalue problem. It is shown that the proposed cyclic IA can achieve the optimal degrees-of-freedom (DoF) when the numbers of user antennas are enough to meet the derived conditions. Furthermore, we present simulation results to demonstrate sum-rate gains at a reasonable transmit signal power level.
