Title
A Hybrid-Distributed Base Station Wake-up Algorithm in Dense Heterogeneous Cellular Networks.
Abstract
Sleep mode techniques for small base stations bring benefits to improving the energy efficiency of Dense Heterogeneous Cellular Network. However, in the traditional sleep mode algorithms, it's hard to wake up sleeping base station accurately. In this paper, we proposed a Hybrid-Distributed base station Wake-up Algorithm (HDWA), which wakes up sleeping base station using macro-assisted and adjacent-assisted methods based on Cluster Technology. In the face of complex changes in the network environment, the proposed algorithm save system energy while ensuring users' Quality of Service. The simulation results show that HDWA can improve the energy efficiency effectively while maintaining the average throughput compared with the baseline algorithms.
