Technology is part of our daily life and it enhances the quality of our life. Family and elderly people it will be good to know that they are safe while they are alone at home. One possibility to assure this is by using a monitoring system composed of smart luminaires which do not need any further modification of the electrical network. The proposed light bulb prototype uses the existent electrical equipment and it replaces the existent luminaries of the house. This prototype creates a monitoring system which displays on the user's smart phone the location of the monitored person on the map of the house. The proposed solution aims to make sure that a person is safe at home, without disturbing the person daily activities. The paper presents the novel solution for the monitoring of the person and some experimental results. |
