Industrial production facilities and critical infrastructures, such as oil refineries, chemical factories and water supply systems, are often comprised of complex networks of pipes and reservoirs which are sometimes located in remote or relatively inaccessible locations. As a result, maintenance personnel are confronted with the challenging task of detecting and locating failures and leakages in a timely fashion. The Integrated Monitoring Awareness Environment (IM-AWARE) system provides a robust and reliable health-monitoring platform for monitoring and managing critical production and distributions systems. It not only provides off-site engineers real-time notifications and alerts about detected faults, it also provides on-site engineers valuable diagnostic information and suggestions for resolving the faults. This paper describes the IM-AWARE systemu0027s web application interface and its implementation on a fluid-flow test bed system. |
