Abstract | ||

With the rapid development of production automation and industrial intelligence, automatic recognition of digital meter readings has played a significant part in this trend of information revolution. To meet the higher and higher demand of recognition on IoT terminals with efficiency and accuracy, a method based on topological features of image contour is proposed. Image contours are classified according to size and bounding hierarchy during the reading location process, from which expected digits can be selected with the priori knowledge of the meter. The effectiveness of the algorithm is experimentally validated in complex environments. |
