Title
Stock market trading strategies and cost estimation for telecommunication resource management
Abstract
More and more telecommunication networks have started to use the power of network function virtualization (NFV) and software defined networking (SDN) concepts. Also, new requirements are emerging such as providing low latency by moving services as close as possible to the end-users. Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) addresses these challenges but requires huge investments. Lots of new (edge) sites should be installed worldwide. To decrease the cost of investments service providers (SP) may share their infrastructure. This paper uses a centralized approach to create fair prices with resource management capabilities where market dynamics prevail. Stock market trading strategies are evaluated as resource management algorithms and a cost estimation is also presented.
