This article deals with modelling of random sequential adsorption (RSA) process. Such a process is close to the surface chemichal adsorption phenomenon that is for instance exploited in gas sensors or for liquid or gas purification. After an analysis of RSA process and its simulation, a power law kinetic behaviour is highlighted. As a first approach, this kinetic is modelled using fractional model. But it is shown that this exhibits some drawbacks. Thereafter a nonlinear model along with a parameters tuning method are proposed. The ability of this model to capture the same power law dynamics, without exhibiting some of the drawbacks of fractional models, is then discussed. The model is finally adapted to take into account the reverse desorption process. |
