Title
A Lifelong Health Monitoring Framework in Processors: Work-in-Progress
Abstract
With the development of VLSI technology, more transistors can be integrated into a processor. While this increases the complexity of modern processors, it also provides resources for fault monitoring and localization in processor. To this end, we propose an on-chip lifelong health monitoring framework for processor, and provide detailed designs for I/O pads and power supplies of the processor chip, which have a key effect on the tuning, testing and the final deployment of a processor. Our proposal enables long-term status logging of I/O pads and power supplies in the chip. This provides a solid foundation for understanding the impact of I/O and power supplies on the stability of a processor chip.
