Automatic Circle Detection for Radial Lens Distortion Correction in Single Images
Abstract
A methodology for automatic circle detection in images suffering from strong radial lens distortion is presented in this work. The automatic construction of circles from line segments is necessary to get the input data for an algorithm for the computation of the radial distortion function. This algorithm, although already presented before, is briefly explained. Examples are given and the advantages and disadvantages of the method are discussed.
